We live in boxes:
restricting what we "SHOULD" do and how we
"SHOULD" behave. When we sense the box as
too restrictive, we may move out of it
impulsively or by decision. Impulsive
behavior does not consider values or
consequences. Decisive behavior considers
both. This logo is a
Transactional Analysis paradigm for
DECISION. A behavior question arising from
uncomfortable FEELINGS in the Child Ego
State ("C" above), moves through the VALUE
SYSTEM of the Parent Ego State ("P") and
emerges as a DECISION through the Adult
Ego State ("A"), with an alternative of
going outside of the box. Copyright © by H.D. Johns, Ph.D., 2007, all rights reserved. |
